Why is it important to be active in our union?
It’s important to be active in the union so that you can have a voice. We are a diverse group of people with many differing opinions but we all care about libraries, our profession and higher education. There is a place in our union for all of those voices. (BTW, pictured above from left to right: me, Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden, UC-AFT members Sine Hwang Jensen and Melissa Stoner.)
